When the pandemic lockdowns shut down the concert industry last year, the (((Rhythm Dogs))) wondered what an album rollout would look like without the regular promotional cycle of in-person interviews, late night TV appearances, and live shows. We were not deterred. During the Long Intermission, we hit the recording studio and created our best effort yet, the aptly titled “Rewired!”
Returning on the recording are long-time bandmates, Chris Azorr on keys, Chuk Barber on percussion, Mark Burdon on drums and gong(!), Greg Scholl on trombone, Mary-Sue Tobin on sax and piano, and Mark von Bergen on bass. Also back are guitarist Jennifer Batten (Michael Jackson, Jeff Beck) and the greatest living Jamaican dub master Scientist (Bob Marley, Sly & Robbie), along with first-time guest, keyboardist Michael Hyde (Ziggy Marley). Wait, was that the sound of some serious names being dropped?
