THE LAST WALTZ at the Vault this Saturday - starring the (((Rhythm Dogs)))

The rumors are true: The Vault, after three decades of providing incredible music played by everybody from Grammy(TM) award winners to, well, the (((Rhythm Dogs))), is closing this month. The (((Dogs))) will be there this Saturday beginning at 7:00 to bid the place a fond farewell. We will be playing hits from our four best-selling albums as well as the music of Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, WAR, and Ornette Coleman(!). Please join as we say good-bye to one of the greatest venues in Oregon music history and thank the Man responsible for all this - Steve Arel.

As a special bonus, we will be featuring Bootsy Collins's trombonist Kyle (the "Molecule") Molitor! It will be funky and nasty - our way of thanking Steve for everything he has done for us and for Portland. Get there early as it is likely to be crowded.

Trivia quiz: Who was the performer in the great music documentary the Last Waltz that Levon Helm was outraged about being included in the Band's farewell concert? You are correct if you answered Neil Diamond. And why was he there? We will answer that question and why Bob Dylan refused to have his face shown in the film at the gig.
